We understand that flexibility is essential, which is why we offer a range of options to fit your schedule. Choose between monthly subscriptions to our NYC team, virtual training that you can practice at your convenience, or local ambassador-led bachata teams in your city.
NYC Bachata Team
We have two bachata teams for those who can make it to our studio in Inwood, New York City for training.
La Fuerza Amateur Bachata Team is perfect for dancers who have mastered the basic steps and reached Level 2 (advanced beginner) or above and are looking to improve their skills, learn new techniques, and have fun with a group of like-minded people. We focus on building a solid foundation by emphasizing precise timing and technique. As you progress, we'll introduce you to more challenging and progressive moves that will elevate your skills to new levels.
La Fuerza Semi-Pro Bachata Team is our performance team for dancers who are looking to take their skills to the next level and treat dance as a sport. This team is for those who are eager to push their boundaries, challenge themselves, and work towards becoming a professional dancer.
Our NYC team program runs for 4 months. The Amateur Bachata team meets once a week for 2 hours, Wednesdays at 10pm (following the Level 2 classes and practice social). The Semi-Pro Bachata Team will meet twice a week for two hours, every Tuesday and Thursday at 10pm.
Because rehearsals are more choreography-driven, it is imperative that team members continue to train outside of team rehearsals in order to maximize their improvement. As such, we require all team members to take a minimum of 3 group classes per week at Fuerza Dance Studio outside of rehearsals. Fausto and the Kingsmen may assign specific classes based on your individual needs. This extra training will not only help you improve your technical skills, but also ensure that you are able to keep up with the demands of the team and contribute to the success of the group.
Team dues are $200 per month, due on the 15th of every month, and include rehearsals and unlimited classes at Fuerza Dance Studio. Private lessons are also available at an additional fee.
La Fuerza Dance Team is committed to helping each team member reach their full potential as dancers. In addition to technical dance skills, we expect all team members to be punctual, respectful towards the team and instructor, and dedicated to their craft. Making on-time payments is required. The Kingsmen Experience Bachata Team
Our worldwide Bachata team is perfect for Bachata dancers living outside of New York City. Dancers may join our virtual team for direct instruction from Fausto Felix and the Kingsmen (via video lessons and livestream rehearsals), or join an ambassador-led team locally where they live. We'll meet up at Bachata events worldwide to perform together! Our new season begins July 1st.
Local ambassador-led dance teams may focus on shines, partner work, or both. The shines team hones your individual footwork in Fausto's New York Style Bachata. Our partner work team will refine your connection and lead/follow skills. Ambassadors will receive exclusive training videos to prepare them to lead under the direction of Fausto Felix.
